Things you should know if buying or transferring guns
You normally can not buy a gun in another state that you do not have a residence in. So you can buy guns in other states, and have them transferred to our Cartersville Location for easy pick up.
Every gun sold must have an atf 4473 form filled out by the buyer at the site of purchase in front of the clerk. If you do not read or speak the language you have to bring someone who can assist you. The store employees can not tell you how to fill out the form or how to interpreter the questions. Should you bring in someone to read it or interpreter it, you will also need a witness to sign off on the process. It can not be an employee of the store. However, you could ask another customer to witness for you, other wise you will need to bring someone else with you.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN FILLING OUT THE FORM
1. You must have a Georgia State picture ID with correct address. If you have a Georgia Weapons Carry License you should bring it with you, along with your GA Drivers License. You will have to fill out the ATF form 4473. This will have to be done at the store and in the presences of store employee. However the employee can not interpreter the form for you in any way.
2. You will need to be exact and clear in your writing so they can read it.
3. The clerk can not help or explain any questions for you. If you are not sure the directions are on the forms last three pages if you have questions.
4. If you can not read English you may bring an interpreter into the store with you to read it for you. However the store can not provide you with an interpreter.
5. If you can not see to read the form the store can not read it to you.
6. You will need to read the form and each question carefully to make sure you understand them and in case some have changed.
7. Make sure an always check your ID’s and make sure they are current with all your information before you hand it to the clerk. Once you sign the form and hand it to the clerk you are done and no changes can be made to the form.
8. If you have a Georgia Weapons Carry License, you will not have to have a background check with NICS but you will have to complete a 4473 Form. If you do not have a Georgia Weapons Carry License then we will have to run you through NICS for clearance for you to buy a weapon. This process could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 days. Normally it is anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour, but this depends on many items.
